[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] First of all, I hate the fact that most expensive shampoo you can buy is the one that is really suiting my thinning hair best at the moment. On the plus though, you need such a tiny amount – I’d say a quarter of your regular application – that perhaps, somewhere in the mathematical world, it might make sense. I’m being so careful with my hair – some of you might have seen that I’m trialling the Current Body LED Hair Growth Device (paid content) which I’m using religiously every day – but I’m trying to cut out extra steps for day to day maintenance. I tried the new Neccessaire Shampoo and it was just not right for me – my hair felt dull and stripped – and for complete clarity, I didn’t use the conditioner because that’s the step I’m removing from washing, using the JVN leave in conditioner spray instead. So possibly not fair to snap judge without the completing steps – although my scalp felt very clean!
However, I can say that with Oribe Gold Lust Repair & Restore Shampoo I don’t need a conditioner at all. I can use the Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil or not – my hair is still shiny and bouncy either way. The shampoo is just so rich – and I mean it about using a tiny amount otherwise you will be swamped with foam which is funny but adds extra rinsing time. The formula is generous in oils – argan, cypress and maracuja – but doesn’t leave hair heavy with residue. My hair actually looks fuller from using this and feels extremely soft. In fact, I’d say that while the softness is lasting and lovely, if you have very fly away hair, you might then need to tame it a bit with something in the mornings if you haven’t tied it up. My hair was clearly doing some nocturnal billowing on the pillow! I brought it back to normality with a very quick and light run through with irons and it fell back into place perfectly.
It’s a big recommend if your hair is being impossible one way or another and I’ve searched around for offers – it seems the most money-value way to buy Oribe Gold Lust Repair & Restore Shampoo is in this £40 set HERE where you get 75ml of the shampoo, 50ml conditioner and 75ml texture spray OR just the 75ml at £16 HERE. That way you can try it all without committing £50 for the shampoo, but if you feel like doing so, it’s HERE.
Yesterday’s hair vs today’s (Oribe) hair for reference.
